Yggdrasil

Yggdrasil, the everlasting world tree. It’s ashen branshes reaches far above the sky, and the rain that falls to our earth is dew from it’s leaves. Yggdrasils roots leads to the many different realms and has to be carefully watered each day. The name Yggdrasil translates closely to: Odins horse, Ygg is another name for Odin meaning stormgod, and drasil means horse. This could either be because Valhall (Odins home) lies on top of the tree, or because he once sacrificed him self to hang by the throught in the tree for 9 days only to learn about the magical runes.
