To set up, players receive 5 Policy cards each, that they will combine with randomly drawn Topic cards during successive rounds of debates. Each pair of Candidates has 30 seconds per person to convince the Media (the other players) to vote for them, and not their opponent.
Ridiculous combinations like “The internet… is a liberal conspiracy!” and “The poor… are a threat that will be met with fire and fury!” are some of the choices you can make.
After their debate is done, the other players vote. The winner receives the Topic card as a victory point to save for counting at the end of the round.
At the end of all the debates, the person with the most victories wins the election and receives the President card.
All other Topics go on the Dumpster Fire of Democracy card, and a new round begins!
